چکیده
Purpose: To compare the long-term clinical outcomes of patients with refractive accommodative esotropia (RAET) and infantile (IET).Methods: The medical records RAET IET who were followed-up for more than 36 months retrospectively analyzed. prescribed spectacles to correct cycloplegic refraction those underwent bilateral, medial rectus recession. Visual acuity, refraction, angle esodeviation at far near distances, near-stereopsis measured each visit. divided into two groups by time surgery (before after 24 age). Patients in both reoperations diagnosis partially (PAET) recurrent during follow-up analyzed. Results: Sixty-nine (40 29 IET) included. period was 69.48 ± 28.41 months. At final visit, angles 2.82 5.46 prism diopters (PD) group 9.28 8.37 PD (<i>p</i> < 0.01). In before age, 4.62 5.25 13.06 8.63 median values 60 140 arcsec visit 0.01, 0.03). Seven (17.5%) group, 2 (15.4%) 10 (62.5%) required 0.01).Conclusions: age exhibited better alignment stereopsis later reoperation rate lower.

Stereoacuity Outcomes Following Treatment of Infantile and Accommodative Esotropia
Purpose—To review what is known about the normal maturation of stereoacuity, the stereoacuity deficits associated with infantile and accommodative esotropia, the rationale for making improved stereoacuity a goal of treatment, and strategies for improving stereoacuity outcomes. Methods—Studies of stereoacuity maturation during normal development, studies of stereoacuity outcomes following treatm...
متن کاملLong-Term Changes in Refractive Error and Clinical Evaluation in Partially Accommodative Esotropia after Surgery
We investigate the changes in refractive error and clinical evaluation in partially accommodative esotropia(PAET) after surgery. A total of 68 patients PAET who received at least 2 years of follow-up after surgery were enrolled in this study. We performed a retrospective study in patients who underwent unilateral or bilateral medial rectus recession for a non-accommodative component of PAET bet...

Purpose. To investigate the psychophysiologic aspects of refractive accommodative esotropia (RAE). Methods. I prospectively recruited patients aged 3-6 years with more than 3.0 diopters of hyperopia who presented at Kim's Eye Hospital from January 2011 to March 2013. I compared Korean Child Behavior Checklist (K-CBCL) which consists of internalizing factors (social withdrawal, somatic complaint...

AIM To examine outcome among children with refractive accommodative esotropia. METHODS Children with accommodative esotropia associated with hyperopia were included in the study. The features studied were ocular alignment, amblyopia, and the response to treatment, binocular single vision, requirement for surgery, and the change in refraction with age. RESULTS 103 children with refractive ac...
متن کاملLong-term study of accommodative esotropia.
PURPOSE Previous studies of accommodative esotropia have been hampered by bias-prone methods of data collection and analysis and by small sample size. The studies have conflicting conclusions, causing uncertain results. This study aims to determine long-term results of standard treatment of accommodative esotropia and identify predictors of outcome, while minimizing bias in data collection and ...
